FAQ - Tattoos

1. What do I need to get a tattoo done?

a. You need to be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo done with a valid state or government issued ID. If you do not have a valid ID present with you we will be unable to do the tattoo, no exceptions. Pictures of ID’s and student ID’s are not acceptable to use.
b. We recommend to have something to eat before coming in to get your tattoo.
c. We recommend to wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the placement of your tattoo.

2. Can I get a tattoo done if I am under 18 years of age?

a. New York City does not allow for the tattooing of anyone under the age of 18 even with parental consent.

3. Do you take walk-ins for tattoos?

a. We do accept walk-ins from 1pm till 7pm Monday through Saturday.
b. We encourage you to submit an appointment inquiry form for your tattoo if you are on a limited travel schedule.
c. Walk in time can be limited so please submit an appointment inquiry form or call the shop for availability and if an appointment is needed.

4. How much does a tattoo cost?

a. Pricing for tattoos will vary depending on the design, size, details, style, etc. We have a $150 minimum charge for tattoos and an hourly rate of $220. We offer flat rate tattoos as well as hourly at the artists discretion for how it is priced.

5. Are there tattoos that you will not do?

a. We do not offer tattoos that we cannot stand by the quality of the healed tattoo. For that reason we do not offer tattoos on the sides of fingers, palms of the hands, bottom of the feet, and inside lips.
b. We will not perform any tattoos that are deemed to be racist, gang related, or subjects the artists are not comfortable with

6. How do I book an appointment?

a. To book an appointment please look over artist portfolios to decide which artists style matches what you are looking for. Then you can fill out the appointment inquiry form (on the top right of the page) and we will get back to you with how to book.

i. Artists will each have their own style of tattooing and we encourage you to look over their portfolios of work to make sure they are the best suited for what you are looking to get done.

b. To book any appointment we require a $100 deposit to be put down to reserve the time. It is applied toward the total cost of the tattoo and is non-refundable.

7. Can I have a friend with me for the tattoo?

a. We do allow you to have 1 person with you during your tattoo time. Please do not have more than 1 person with you as we may have to ask them to leave due to us having limited space for people to wait.

b. The tattoo floor does not allow for anyone under the age of 18 to be there, even if not getting tattooed.

i. If you have anyone with you that is under 18 they will be asked to leave due to the age policy. There are no exceptions to this age rule.

8. When would I not be able to get a tattoo?

a. If you are on antibiotics we recommend to wait at least 2 to 4 weeks from finishing the mediation to get tattooed.
b. If you are wanting to get tattooed in the same area as another one you need to have at least 3 to 4 weeks before having more work done on it.
c. If you are sunburned you need to wait until the skin is fully healed.
d. If you are visibly intoxicated or on any type of drug we will refuse service. If you had booked an appointment you would forfeit your deposit and need to reschedule.
e. If you do not have a valid government or state issued ID present with you at the time of your tattoo we will be unable to do it. Student id’s, pictures of id’s, or temporary licenses are not acceptable forms.
